چکیده

Drs. Rachel Tyndale and Donald Weaver each are recipients of the 2011 Canadian College of Neuropsychopharmacology (CCNP) Heinz Lehmann Award for the papers “Drug and toxin metabolism within the brain alters response” and “The design and optimization of novel therapeutics for Alzheimer’s dementia,” respectively. Dr. Tyndale is a Professor in the Departments of Pharmacology and Neurosciences at the University of Toronto, and Scientist, Head of Pharmacogenetics Research at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, Ont. Dr. Weaver is a Professor in the Department of Medicine (Neurology) at Dalhousie University in Halifax, NS. This award is designed to recognize outstanding research achievements by Canadian scientists in the field of neuropsychopharmacology. The award, donated by Eli Lilly Canada Inc., consists of a $5000 research prize plus a $2000 travel award and an engraved plaque. Congratulations to Drs. Tyndale and Weaver.
